The Property
The relatively small property contains an enormous level of diversity. There are at least 15 different habitat types, including meadows, forests, and an invasive monoculture of buckthorn. This is at least partially due to the varied land-use history of the site. The range of habitats, history and conditions make the property ripe for biological, ecological, and environmental study. Below is a GIS map of the property, with the progress of the surveying team super-imposed.
